I just have to share something that has been bothering me. Wasn't sure if I should share this but I feel a need to and it didn't hit me until I read a response a friend of mine made on a mutual friends post about same sex marriage. The posts these people are making states that a marriage is only suppose to be between a man and a woman. Interesting... Yet, these individuals who made these posts have children, from different fathers/mothers, never been married, or co-habitating with their significant other. Right, ok. I'm not judging, this is an observation. So when one makes a comment like that do they realize how ignorant they look? Of course not. No one on this planet is perfect. We all lie and we all "sin" differently. Now, isn't God love? Doesn't He love us with flaws and all? At the end of the day aren't we created in His divine image? Whether one is straight, bi, gay, lesbian, trans. Seriously? Why is it we shut people down when we don't understand a lifestyle or the way one lives their life? People making these ignorant comments are already "living in sin" and you are no better than anyone else, but because "you live life through Christ" you think you're better than others? Don't they know that in other cultures and countries being involved with someone of the same sex is considered normal but over here - oh no, it's too taboo! Stop judging! Stop pointing fingers! Stop preaching! Look at yourself first in mirror before you speak your opinion. You may not agree with what I am saying and that's okay but I don't judge people. I accept them for who they are. You may pass up the best friendships because you are stuck in your ways. Educate yourself, open your mind, and listen. The moment you shut people out you are only hurting yourself. But, not everyone thinks like me or feels the way I do and at the end of the day.
